You can also use haXe (http://haxe.org) since it has remoting and can be 
used to target Flash Player 6-8 (with AS2 apis) or Flash Player 9-10 
(with AS3 apis). You can also use it to write the server-side of your 
remoting application, since it also targets PHP and Neko.
