Considering the number of people who are actually registered on this list
and the number of people who make posts there are a lot of people who are
'lurking' (which is an almost-rude way of saying they're learning from
answers to other people's questions).
So an easily searchable archive would be a good idea... What format that
takes i don't know.... but the frequency of questions like 'where do i get
the beta version of papervision' or the numerous issues with exporting
models from different apps suggests that either people aren't searching
before posting or their searches are not easy or efficient enought to give
good quality results...
being the happy-go-lucky, look-on-the-bright-side,
think-the-best-of-everyone sort of a person i'd like to think it's the
latter.
in abstract we could do with an easily searchable archive of questions and
answers which itself is easy to find via the good old inter-web. That would
help with the reposts of common questions (but would never eliminate it
completely) and leave the list less dense for all the OT crap that i and
some others tend to throw out there! :)
