my first as editor outside the flash ide was ASDT - the open source eclipse
plugin. The fact that it integrated seamlessly with the subclipse plugin
made it unique at the time. But the code was a bit buggy, and suport for the
development of the project faded over time. When FDT appeared, it had so
much more going for it (proper code completion, type heirarchy, import
manager etc) that the changover was inevitable at some point. I've never
used flashdevelop so i can't comment of the differences, but now that i use
a mac most days i'm happy to stick with eclipse - especially since it runs
like a dream on osx :)
