[Papervision3D] planes look very glitchy and messy ... any advice?

plane.quarterFaces();

staded that the faces division is not destuctive as the inverse would be...
do you think it can be useful to have a deQuaterFaces (reduces the number of
faces)?
I'm thinking about it in a "details settings" tuning perspective, but it's
just a late night idea.

Surely it could work only on regular planes because plane.quaterFaces and
plane.deQuaterFaces would not be commutative.

but.. Would it be too much a processor hand-brake to simplify an object's
geomety retaining the original one and use the new simplified one? Something
like 1 not rendered DO3D used as the model and other ones based on a
simplification of this OD3D added and removed in the scene? Maybe in
function of the expected rendered flat bounding box or a desired
detailLevel? So that this imaginific "simplifyGeometry(n)" method calculates
the distances between vertices and "merges" in the returned geometry the
ones that in the rendered image would be in the same n pixel square side?

Well.. it's late. It is more comfortable to dream in bed.
