Very interesting Phil,
I've taken a look at the code and it looks pretty good.
It might be useful to use KeyframeMesh and for other objects too. Maybe add
an animated attribute to DisplayObject3D like in materials. I haven't even
thought about animation yet, but it's definitely something we need to work
on. Performance wise, it can be optimized so it doesn't have an impact.
Importing md2 opens a lot of possibilities, there're already editors, models
and tutorials we can refer to.
This morning when I saw your demo I couldn't believe it.
