hi Carlos,

I hadn't seen the 3D head, shown just before you came on stage, is there a
link to that somewhere?

Regards, Jake

Well, it was a fantastic opportunity to show the project, its history and
the ideas behind it and also the latest developments. The atmosphere was
excellent as usual, Tink is doing a fantastic job with the London group. The
video and the presentation should be up soon.

The best bit was meeting people of the list, some of them regular
contributors, while others haven't sent an email yet. It was fantastic to
talk to everybody and hear their very different points of view. Still amazes
me the ideas people want to see in 3D.

Be great to do another presentation more hands on, once the code is
released. It be also really cool if other people explained how they create
their 3D pieces. There's very cool work in progress happening at this time.
Give it a few months and we could organize something among those lines.
Judging by the attendance I think people would be interested.

Well he did mention your other interests that ever so slightly!!! Haha

Was a great presentation, and yes i've never seen that many people
crammed in, and he managed to get a number of claps for showing off the old
stuff, so by the time he got round to the new stuff, everyone was too
stunned to react...

Was a shame i didnt get to have a peek at paperworld, but i'm sure thats
coming, and was great to meet Carlos too.

Really loving the ideas Collada, especially the flv streaming...very
exciting stuff....

Looking forward to the next release, with addChild etc....

    cheers
    keith

I went... it was really bad!... and ugly.

Just kidding :D I was quite cool! Usually LFPUG gathers something
like
40 persons, this time there were 90 new persons. The place was
really
full. I arrived just before Carlos was about to start, so there was
no
more space left. Just a bit of space on the tobacco machine :D

He mainly explained a bit of the history of the project,
when/who/why
started, all the versions/steps. And showed a couple of demos. There
was
a special moment for you (John) when we all commented how much you
like
Star Wars :D and in the end he also showed some of the WIP with the
        Collada loader.

There was also some new demos for the event that were also quite
impressive. And I think that's all... a shame I had to leave for a
dinner. But well, at least I did meet Carlos, finally :D

        Nice one Carlos! \o/
