I'm sorry for hijacking this thread. Somethings shouldn't be said on a pv3d
mailer. But I'm going to go ahead and voice them again...
As for pv3d as2 being more used than Sandy, I really cant say. All I can say
is...:
http://vds-communication.com/
http://www.eventagentur.ch/
http://www1.carrefour.fr/minisites/pac/ballonbleu2006/swf/index.html
http://www.waymaster.com/
http://www.quakr.co.uk/viewr/?tag=shabbatagging
It's used.
I also really cant see why anyone wouldn't use it. That's no offense to pv3d
as it's a great system for as3, but Sandy wins in as2. Objectively. It's
written in a pretty organized way, supports animation scripting, and a lot
of neat toys like image distortion. I'm not a big fan of everything they're
doing in as3 (init objects should go last in argument lists!), but that's
still pretty alpha. As2, however, just plain kicks ass. It lacks collada
support, so you have to use ase, but that's my only real complaint.
It has very clear documentation, lots of supporting example code, and is
still being developed on heavily. They're about to release v2.0 in AS2.
I'm just saying, don't count out Sandy. It's a great engine for AS2.
