[Papervision3D] 3D matrix breakdown

Hi, I'm new to the list but I've been working with papervision3D for a while now.  I'm currently expanding Collada to import animations from 3ds max.  I was not able find any documentation on what the 3d matrix nodes actually represent in papervision.  From what I understand these are the basic components of a 3d transform matrix.
   
  ScaleX          ShearYX          ShearZX          PerspectiveX
ShearXY        ScaleY           ShearZY         PerspectiveY
ShearXZ         ShearYZ         ScaleZ           PerspectiveZ
TranslateX      TranslateY      TranslateZ       Homogeneous
   
  Can someone please map out what the nodes in the papervision 3dmatrix represent, also if anyone knows what the matrix map is that Collada uses that would be a great help.
