Seems like you could just make an interface to mapping the controls to whatever you want and be done with it.

yes, i think only french country use azerty, the rest of the world use
qwerty and they modify it a bit to fit their needs.
Like germany that have some more letters like grosse S, all cyrillique
countries, and China, Japan....etc
We just need to know if SDEF is common to all keyboards. I think it is.

The idea of multiple fight level is great!
