[Papervision3D] Lightwave ase or dae exporter? Anyone else getting their lightwave models into papervision?

There are no collada exporters hopefully this changes. I start with
modeler, make a texture map, assign the texture map in the surface editor,
convert the model to triangles and export it as a .3ds. You could use the
surface baker too and than assign that as a texture map. Than import the
object in blender and export it as a collada file. Then your straight.
You'll probably have to rotate the object its usually 90 off on one axis.

Subject: [Papervision3D] Lightwave ase or dae exporter? Anyone else getting
their lightwave models into papervision?
Hello,
I have a 3d model in lightwave. Ideally I would like to export it to ase or
dae files with 'burned' textures.
Are there any exporters for lighwave that will export in those formats?
If not, any suggestions on the best way to get it to papervision3d? Possibly
export it as a obj and import it into 3dsmax and apply textures there? Would
that hurt the geometry at all?
thanks
chris
