I'd certainly be interested in checking it out - otherwise I may never
get my 2D frickin laser beams (sans Mutant Bass) to destroy my 3D
frickin boxes. :P

not currently - you can use the boundingsphere2() method though
to simplify your intersection tests - but there's no way (currently) to
automatically sort objects like that. I've been working on something
similar for paperworld. But i've been distracted with framework stuff,
i'd be very happy to share what i've done (what there is of it).
