[Papervision3D] VideoStreamMaterial Alpha Channel (slopester), and new video question

Hey slopes,

I'm not sure if you can manipulate the fillAlpha of a videoStreamMaterial
itself very easily. But if the only object in your pv3d scene is the video,
try manipulating the alpha value of the scene's container sprite. Perhaps
if you have more objects in the scene whose alpha you don't want changed,
you could create an additional pv3d scene just for the videoStreamMaterial,
and play with that.

my video question:

i'm trying to do some SoundMixer.computeSpectrum on a streaming .flv (not
RTMP) with papervision (of course!). anyways, I can't figure out how to
get the soundMixer to recognize the .flv's sound. The adobe docs say its
possible, but I'm not sure how. Perhaps I'm doing something really stupid,
but I keep gettinng this error: *
TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter sound must be non-null.

*I don't start trying to compute the spectrum until the flv is already
playing. There shouldn't be any security issues, since
soundMixer.areSoundsInaccessible() returns false.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Thomas
