[Papervision3D] A demo and a camera request/help

Hi all,
I made a little demo with my own challenge being to use a fairly
complicated model within the confines of Flash. I have to say I'm
pretty pleased with the performance so first a big ole' kudos to the
Papervision3D devs. Here it is...
http://www.lamberta.org/demo/pv3d/arrive/
Just thought I'd pass a little tip on: along with keeping an eye on
poly count, the biggest thing was constructing the model in terms of
using ViewportLayers, then shuffling and re-shuffling these as the
camera changes position. Think of the model from front to back, and
side to side, then export as separate geometry and put it together in
pv3d.
And now for some help...
I am one of those challenged people who use a laptop with a screen
resolution of 1280x800 and a browser window quite a bit smaller. Now
when I construct my scene and camera positions they look great to me,
but someone with a larger resolution will see all the unintended
whitespace around the model which I wish to avoid.
So, I'm looking for equations to automatically change the
field-of-view and zoom of the camera depending on the viewport
dimensions to give a more consistent picture. Make sense?
For that matter I don't understand some of the camera settings to
begin with - like focus? How can there be focus when there is no depth
of field? Tis a bit confusing, but I digress.
In the future maybe there will be a UniversalCamera3D, but if anyone
can help with the equations now that would be great!
Thanks!
Billy Lamberta
