Thank you very much guys for the quick feedbacks!!

@John
I already guessed that in the last hours reading more on the forum and
seeing that every demo about animation talk about exporting the model from
3ds/maya ... this will be a mayor problem :\

@Wojciech
Thanks for the suggestion, yours can be a solution in absence of other ways
of doing it.
Since the project is pretty big I need to split the work among 2 people, me
on the code and a better-than-me modeler that will work on the animations.
If I need to take care of the animations using tweens, it will take forever
to finish the job :)

Hi Alessandro,

I've just posted a message about my game, were animation of two characters
with skeleton is done.

I don't know if my approach is the best and simple solution in general, by
it works fine. I'm not using dae animation but instead after loading dae
file, simply set rotations to character's every joint. Joints rotations is a
prepared array of numbers for rotateX, y and z applied at every frame.
Models was exported using collada exporter from Maya (export options:
polygon meshes, triangulate, texture coordinate, joints and skin). And what
I found is that character must be exported in T pose, where no rotation
transformation is applied to joints.
Next I was animating character and save joints rotations for every frame and
made array of numbers ready to use in flash.

And that's it.
Ask if you have any question, maybe I can help.

Wojtek.

Hi Papervisioneers!

I know this might be an overdiscussed topic, but I wasn't able to find a
solution to my specific problems ... so here I am.

Here at my office we are doing some research over animations in Papervision
to use with FLARToolKit for some very interesting games.

We can't find a way to animate our models through bones and then export the
animations (we have multiple animation on the same model) to collada to use
them in papervision. Until now every animation we did, didn't shown up when
imported.

Anyone already worked on this topic and has any suggestion to give?
I'm very interested in the workflow that brings a "static" model to be an
animated Collada ready to be imported.

Thank you very much
Alessandro

Warning: I'm a noob at Blender but I've quite some experience with AS3.
