[Papervision3D] Best way to save DAE object in database for reuse

Hi. I have a complex Display3DObject which I have loaded off a DAE file
(origiinally exported from Google Sketchup).

I want to get this Display3DObject that represents a "part" and persist it
separately in my database/file so that I can re-use it in my application. My
application basically is a design tool that allows users to combine these
parts into whole designs. 


Any ideas how i can get get the shape and persist it? What would be the best
way?
