[Papervision3D] Has anyone found a solution for dirty material edges?

I was hoping that since Away3D was based on PV3D the code would be very
similar and there would be a few lines of code with a comment saying: "//
dirty material edges cool hack"
I'm new to AS3 so it looks a little confusing but I'll try and work it out
Have you previously done a backwards port of it and have any additional
pointers?
