time (blush**))
Hey Papervision Community,
I have been using Papervision for quite a while with good results
(thanks for a great tool guys) and have been trying out some of the
same techniques using the new Flash 3D capabilities.
Why?
Well for me the ability to set the basic scene up visually and animate
(however crudely) is a lot more intuitive than the code first, adjust
later workflow.
I am working with combining the graphical flash ide and adding
papervisions more advanced options as needed (spheres, lights, extra
cameras, etc).
Obviously right now the 3D capabilities of Flash CS4 are handicapped
by lack of a proper 3D editing interface, world view and the 'who the
hell knows whats up and down' background.
I am thinking of being able to extend the IDE to work with 3D in the
traditional Multi-view - Top, Left, Right, Bottom modes.
Right now I am using new windows and the camera to simulate that type
of interface but its limited by lack of a 'world view'.
(see attached screenshot)
But its far from a perfect solution.
So my question is:
Has anyone come up with a decent way to edit and construct 3D objects
in the Flash IDE?
Is anyone working on an extension to flash to enable this?
I am trying to hammer nails with a screwdriver?
All input gratefully received ;)
