Also, its possible to use slightly another approach (but not sure how to  implement this in Red5):  you can write a server script (even in php), which will send to flash only first keyframe (with headers of course) and when close connection. On client side you can use ns.play in usual way, then catch Net.Stop event and close connection. Worked excellent for me and very simple. Maybe someone can find this interesting to implement as feature in Red5?
