[Red5] XMLSocket

Maybe this XMLRpc is ok to use, although my first impression is that it is used as a sort of SOAP protocol: executing methods with parameters (I looked at what XMLRpcclient does.) 
At least I don't really see how I can use this in the way I want: with socket.onXml and socket.sent. 

Do you happen to know of any example (either with XMLRpcclient or without) that creates a socket connection to some server and keeps it alive while waiting for messages coming in and sending messages whenever some event happens?

Really, if it's too much what I ask, don't worry. I'll manage to get further one way or the other. But if you happen to know something, I would appreciate it.
